Sample Shower Poem For Jill
This is for
Jill, the lady of the hour,
Celebrating
at your Bridal Shower.
Each of us
had to take their clues,
From time, to
decide what to choose.
Eleven at
night, the hour given to me,
An
interesting time for a Mother-in-law to be!
But selecting
just the right things for you,
Was really a
very fun thing to do.
To find a
gift for both you and Dan,
Required some
thought, required a plan,
I wanted to
get you a practical gift,
Yet,
something to give your spirits a lift!
Eleven PM
seemed just right,
For pillow
talk late at night.
And that's
the reason that I chose,
These soft
and fluffy white pillows.
But pillows
alone don't have the Zing,
The
excitement a bridal gift should bring.
So at eleven
PM, to get you ready for bed,
I got you a
nightie, he'll love it-it's red.
So here's to
Jill, the lady of the hour,
Celebrating
at your Bridal Shower.
You'll love
your new life in Washington DC,
Please give
my best to both Bill and Hillary!
